Teachers who choose to use the Iditarod in the classroom DO NOT teach “Iditarod”. They teach their school’s content curriculum. They align their lessons and activities to standards, objectives, and 21st century teaching goals. Teachers choosing to use Iditarod as a vehicle of instruction, use research based methods of instruction and technology.
Please notice our curriculum is listed by PreSchool/Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, and High School levels, and the content area. Standards are included in our lessons. This should not limit use of our lessons, but expand use, as many are easily adaptable to other grade levels and content areas.
